Now listen to Suzanne Vega's Tom's Diner.  The song is about a woman who describes what is happening while she is in a small restaurant. Then listen to the song again and fill in the gaps (write the answers on a piece of paper). The anwer key is provided below.

(Before her performance, the singer explains how the song was born.)

I (2)__________________ at the counter for the man to pour the coffee.

And he fills it only halfway, and before I even argue
